Postgraduate courses

Tackling the global biodiversity crisis depends on developing interdisciplinary solutions underpinned by the natural and social sciences.  Our MSc courses are taught by the world-leading conservation scientists at the Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology, giving you the knowledge, skills and practical experience for a successful career in conservation.

Our taught postgraduate degrees consist of six months of coursework and five months of research, with optional modules providing the flexibility to devise a pathway that suits your specific interests.

• Benefit from expert guidance from DICE staff to develop your research dissertation project that could see you conducting fieldwork anywhere in the world, or use outstanding facilities on-campus including modern laboratories in molecular genetics and wildlife ecology and the DICE field site to support your research.

Our PhD and MSc by Research programmes in Biodiversity Management encourage you to undertake original, high-quality research, which culminates in the submission of a thesis. We welcome students with the appropriate background for research.
