Opportunities at Kent

Short-term study for international students

Short-term study means that international students can study at Kent for one, two or three terms rather than for a full degree. This usually happens as part of an arrangement with the student's home university, for example an exchange agreement.

Kent has exchange agreements with many universities around the world. If you come to Kent under one of these agreements, you are an exchange student and continue to pay your fees to your home university.

Please check with your home institution whether there are already student exchange agreements with us in place.

If Kent does not have an exchange agreement with your university, you can apply as a short-term student and pay tuition fees directly to Kent.

Erasmus+

Kent has been an active participant in the Erasmus+ programme for over 30 years, exchanging over 600 students per year with over 100 European partner institutions. Although the UK's participation in Erasmus+ finished in May 2023, we continue to work closely with European partners and to welcome European exchange and short-term students to Kent each year.

Junior Year Abroad English PLUS

If you do not meet the required proficiency in English to come straight into short-term studies, you may be interested in the Junior Year Abroad English PLUS programme. This has been specially designed to meet the needs of students whose first language is not English.
