Overview

In a post-pandemic world, now more than ever, the world is crying out for high-calibre leaders to pull us out of the darkness.

As a Kent Business School student studying Management, you will learn what it takes to work and succeed in leadership across many sectors of business and industry, anywhere in the world.

On this flexible course, you are guided by our exceptional international teaching staff, many of whom are leading experts in their field of study, to secure a robust understanding of current and emerging international management concepts and theories across a plethora of business areas.

Our MSc Management degree course

Studying an MSc in Management, you will develop fine-tuned insight and vision in general management through a mixed study of business subjects and general management.

Get to grips with business strategy and performance measurement, accounting and finance, leadership and change management, marketing and communications as well as employability skills and consultancy practice.

On our flexible programme, you can also select from a variety of optional modules to suit your career goals, available from the Spring term onwards.

Through this postgraduate course, you will have incredible opportunities to experience the world of business through hands-on experience via in-class live case studies from our visiting industry experts, enterprise challenges and company visits.

You will also have access to our ASPIRE centre, a purpose built entrepreneurial lab where you can develop, plan and launch your own start up business.

Throughout the course, you develop an international perspective on management by applying the skills and knowledge you learn to real-world situations. As part of your studies, you can spend a week in Brussels, home to the European Union, NATO and many other international organisations.

Being able to link theories and ideas between modules helped with my understanding of business concepts and ideas.

~Gabriella Carboneri, MSc Management

Gain a competitive edge: industrial placement

Industrial placements are the perfect way for you to enhance your career prospects and deepen your opportunity to put taught skills into practise and develop a network of industry professionals.

With the option to undertake the programme with an industrial placement this course offers you the opportunity to gain work experience in the UK or overseas. Placements are self-sought and can range from an additional 12 to 50 weeks. This would extend the normal 12 month Masters programme to a maximum of 24 months.

The School offers support to those students seeking an industrial placement, through extra-curricular engagement with our dedicated placements team. Our dedicated placement team can help you gain a suitable paid position and provide support throughout your placement.

Students considering this option should be aware that they will be required to successfully complete all stage 1 modules and that there may be additional costs for students in terms of visa extensions, Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and accommodation, for example.

Students wishing to undertake the optional industrial placement will be required to successfully complete all stage 1 and 2 modules. The Industrial Placement is assessed by the completion of the Industrial Placement Report.
