The Access to Higher Education Diploma at Chatham Grammar is designed to meet the needs of adult learners. Our evening classes are free and focus on coursework rather than exams. Helpful tutors, inspiring sessions and regular guidance can help you reach your full potential.
At Chatham Grammar we offer two diploma titles: Access to Humanities and Social Science and Access to Social Science. To complete the Access Diploma you will choose three of the following subjects.
Be creative, encourage your imagination and build valuable communication skills.
Explore prose, poetry and drama while developing your analytical skills.
Learn about power, democracy and authority and explore how the law is made and applied.
The study of the human mind and behaviour. Psychology is about you and the people around you.
Examine the ways in which we are shaped, empowered and controlled by contemporary UK society.
Build your English language skills in a supportive environment with other adult students.
Get your Maths GCSE through informal classes designed for adult learners.
The leadership and the organisation of the provision is exemplary. Marking and feedback is excellent.

Having left school at 17 after a year of A levels, Rheanna joined the Access Diploma course a few years later to get her qualifications.
Previous courses hadn't taken Rob in the right direction but the Access Diploma course gave him the chance to get to university.
