• Dr Bogdan Vrusias, Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Bogdan is the Leader of the pan-EMEA AI / ML Specialist Solutions Architecture team at AWS. He has over 25 years of professional and academic experience in researching, designing and implementing complex AI/ML solutions, and for the last five years at AWS he has been supporting Amazon's customers in building state-of-the-art solutions spanning from Generative AI to traditional ML.

Anna Grüebler is a Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS focusing on in Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. She has more than 10 years of experience helping customers develop and deploy machine learning applications. Her passion is taking new technologies and putting them in the hands of everyone and solving difficult problems by leveraging the advantages of using AI in the cloud.

Breakout Session 2 - AI in Business & Healthcare

Overview

In this session, 3 short inspirational talks will be followed by a panel discussion. The 10 minute presentations are on:

• AI in Healthcare (Dr Simon Hirschmann),
• AI in Real Estate (Ana Pessoa / AIREEN),
• AI in Consulting (Xavi Herce / Fermat).

The panel discussion is on how to identify true value of AI beyond the current hype and myopic focus on efficiency & automation.

Breakout Session 3 - Using Gen AI in your Studies

Overview

In this session E-Learning, the Library and SLAS will run 3 short 10 minute talks, aimed at students, around the use of GenAI in your studies.  There will be 5 minutes after each talk for Q&A.

• Introduction to Generative AI,
• Fact checking Generative AI outputs,
• Avoiding plagiarism when using Generative AI,
• 15 minutes Q&A - Wrap-up.
