About

Mark has a strong computing science background gained both in industry and academia, and is currently involved in specialist practical sessions at Kent. He is a neuroscientist and has a varied background involving research in both the fields of genetics and pathogens.

Research interests

Mark's PhD research focussed on digital signal processing, watermarking, encryption, acoustic transmission and decode of ultrasonic meta tags and EEG (Electroencephalogram) scripting/analysis. He is currently running EEG experiments on creative flow, synaesthesia, high definition field recording of urban/suburban environments.

Teaching

He teaches diverse subjects such as web development, digital signal processing (DSP), algorithms and Internet of Things (IoT).
