Palaniappan Ramaswamy

Palaniappan develops advanced signal processing techniques to analyse signals such as from the brain and heart for various health and non-health applications. Often, the techniques fuse machine learning (classical and deep) for improvement in performance.

Palaniappan belongs to the following research groups:

• Electrophysiological analysis (for various mental and cardiovascular disorders
• Brain-computer interface
• Time-series analysis

• Machine learning (neural networks, genetic algorithms etc)
• Road Safety
• Vagus nerve stimulation
• Machine Learning and Signal Processing for Healthcare Applications
