Medway Campus - Campus Security Information

The University has a 24/7 365 security presence which operates out of the Medway Building and our office is the first room to the right of reception as you enter the building.

If no one is present, you can contact the security control room at Canterbury on 01227 823300 or in an emergency on 01227 823333. You can also contact us by email security@kent.ac.uk .

Alternatively, use the SafeZone App and the blue “Help” button, green “1st Aid” button or the red “emergency” button. If you do not have SafeZone, the link and instructions is:

If you wish to report a crime or there is a disturbance in process then depending upon the seriousness or disruption you can utilise 999 or 101, the link to information is:

You can use the Police on-line reporting for slow time or retrospective reporting of incidents and the link is: https://www.kent.police.uk/ro/report/

It should be remembered that you have 24/7 365 Campus Security who can attend on campus initially to review and may be quicker in some circumstances than the Police. Campus Security do not respond off campus but can give advice.
