TaPRA, Kingston, Sept 2011
Helen Brooks and Nicki Shaughnessy collaborated to give a paper at the TaPRA Applied Theatre Working Group this year. The subject of their paper was 'Applied Theatre in the Workplace: Commodity or Social Resource?'. It examined a 2009 project undertaken with a major pharmaceutical company which was sought to explore the ways in which applied drama could be used in workplace contexts. Following their paper Helen and Nicki were invited to Central School of Speech and Drama to run a four-hour workshop based on the project. They are currently writing paper which develops on this research.
