- Dr Aaron Hillier
Aaron completed his MSci in Forensic Science (2015) and his PhD in Electrical Engineering/Materials Chemistry (2020) at the University of Kent. His research interests are in functionalised polymeric materials, wireless sensing platforms (WSM's) & applied polymer science with his thesis title reading 'Modifying Commercial RFID Tags using Polydimethylsiloxane Based Polymers for Sensing Purposes' .
Following his PhD, Aaron began working as a postdoctoral researcher in Simon Holders group at the University of Kent. During this time, he worked on the large scale synthesis of polymeric materials for the encapsulation and degradation of chemical warfare agents.
Aaron is a Lecturer at the University of Kent in Chemistry and is the Programme lead for Forensic Science. Aaron teaches in all stages of the Forensic Science/Chemistry Programmes at the University of Kent and interacts with all stages of both programmes as the Forensic Science programme lead.
Incorporation of stimuli responsive polymeric materials into wireless antennas, synthesis of polymeric composites for multiple applications.
