Dimitris Sofos

Dimitris has been leading weekly group tutorials with Stage 3 students to review and develop their building projects and advise on detailing, buildability and application of sustainability strategies.

The sessions are interactive, allowing students to present their designs and highlight the areas that require help and advice. It is a great opportunity for them to discuss and obtain input for their project work from a practicing architect. Dimitris shares his extensive construction industry experience with his students by offering precedents, suggesting different ideas, options and solutions to a variety of technical issues and generally encouraging the students to develop their design holistically and in depth.

Dimitris is an Associate at Bond Bryan Architects, and has developed a diverse portfolio of projects in practices in Greece and the UK. At Bond Bryan he has been leading the design and delivery of education projects as well as residential schemes. As Design Champion of the practice, he leads design reviews and ensures that the practice’s design ethos and principles of sustainable development are safeguarded, communicated and implemented in the architectural design.
