SAC goes on tour to spread the word about conservation and ecology.
The University of Kent are working with teams of researchers at the centre of some exciting public engagement around science and research happening at Glastonbury Music Festival this year.

Dr Peter King & Dr Gail Austen can be found at the established ‘Sex & Bugs & Rock ‘n Roll’ stall, where enthusiastic researchers share their fascination for the natural world and make science accessible to everyone.
Austen will also be helping to run the new ‘Science Futures’ area -a brand new stage bringing environmental science to life on their ‘laboratory stage’. Festival-goers can learn about climate change, space travel and plant power. Their aim is to offer ‘a counter-balance to the misuse of science on social media, political spin and fake news.’
Funded via the new Positive Environmental Futures SRT, led by Professor Karen Jones, from the School of History, Dr Rob Barker Lecturer in Chemistry and Forensic Science & Professor Zoe Davies. Davies is responsible for the University of Kent and Lancaster collaboration, having worked closely with Emma Sayer at the University of Lancaster, for a number of years on activities that engage the public with science and research.
Glastonbury Festival takes place on the 22nd to the 26th of June.
