Living away at University is an unmissable part of the student experience for many. We want you to enjoy university life to the full and are here to support you meaning we're proud to be able to offer a guaranteed room offer to many of our students studying at Canterbury or Medway.
You'll need to apply for accommodation between 1 November and mid-December (the deadline will depend on your course) to ensure you receive a room offer before the University closes in December.
We have extended our guarantee to include all students starting in January. If you apply by 8 December we will contact you about your room offer before the University closes for the Christmas break on 20 December 2024. Students who apply after this date are guaranteed a room offer, however, you will not receive an offer until the beginning of January 2024.
We have accommodation set aside for students who will be studying with us for less than 9 months, with contract lengths to match your course dates.
Apply for your accommodation early and make Kent your firm choice to secure your preferred room. Certain room types are subject to availability, but if you apply by 31 March 2025 and make Kent your firm choice, we'll guarantee you your type. All students who apply by 30 June 2025 are guaranteed on-campus accommodation, provided you are a full-time student. No deposit is required – just choose your room and apply!
With no need to pay a deposit to secure a room, all you need to know is what room is right for you and apply.
If you want to live on campus your next step is to apply. Our accommodation application pages always open in mid-January for students planning to start in September of the same year.
If your course starts in January then our application pages will be open from early November.
Apply before any deadlines relevant to you, and make Kent your firm choice and you'll be guaranteed to receive an email offer in due course. It's a good idea to take a look at our application timeline so you know what to expect and when.
