Enjoy campus life

Housed with your friends and fellow returning Kent students you'll be part of the Woolf College community and can look forward to getting involved with any of the events your Kent student union or ResLife Team regularly host.

Lots of students choose to return to live on campus for their second and third years as well to live with the friends they met in their accommodation or on their course during their first year. So while returning students and postgraduate students live separately from first-year students there are always familiar and friendly faces around.

Live with friends

Did you know you can apply to live with your friends? All you need to do is:

  • Before applying: Take a look at our room options and pick where you want to apply for. As your group, need to either fill an entire house/flat or fill no more than 50% of the house/flat. For example, a group of five friends could live in a Park Wood five-bed house as they fill it, or a Keynes house as they only half-fill it, but could not live in a six-bed Park Wood house as this would be unfair to the final student living there.
  • When applying: Make sure your room preferences all match and include the full names and student ID number of every member of your group in the 'additional information' section of your application, then send your applications on the same day, and that's it - as long as you've all done the same we'll aim to house you together in the same flat.

One final bit of advice (especially for larger groups 4+) is to apply early. We sort applications by their application date so whilst we will do our best to ensure all preferences are met, this is subject to availability so the earlier you apply the more likely you are to be allocated to your top preferences together. Pre-registering your interest for returning student accommodation can be a great way to get a head start.

How to apply

We welcome applications from returning undergraduate and postgraduate students for Woolf College.

Our MyAccommodation Portal application pages open in mid-January and you should aim to apply as soon as you know you want to come to Kent. Check out our guaranteed offer of accommodation to see if it applies to you.
