As a Los Angeles native and an exchange student from the University of Southern California, the experience of moving to England was earth shattering, but after adjusting to the “lovely weather” and the “delicious food,” the experience of living and studying in Kent turned out to be one of the best years of his life. Lifelong friendships were forged, and romance blossomed (and wilted). Today, Johnnie Raines is the President and Supervising Casting Director at On TV, inc. (@onTVinc), a top reality casting and content development company in Hollywood. He credits his distinguished career in the entertainment industry to perseverance, and an appreciation for the endless possibilities for a “fish out of water” that takes a leap of faith into a new pond.
