Kent Student Awards
The Kent Student Awards is a joint initiative with Kent Union to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution students make to the Kent student experience.
The Kent Student Awards took place on 8 May 2015, with winners and runners-up receiving prizes, official recognition from the University and unique opportunities to gain new experiences as students and alumni. Students could be nominated in various categories by staff, other students or members of the public; a list of award winners can be viewed.
The judges looked for students who have made a difference to people, communities or environments through dedication, innovation, understanding or skill. The winner in each category received £400, with a second prize of £100 and a third prize of Amazon vouchers worth £50. One of the winners of these nine prestigious awards received the additional honour of being named 'Student of the Year'.
