I am a substantive consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine within the NHS, at the Institute of Sport, Exercise and Health, UCLH. My chair is in Sport and Exercise Medicine at UCL.
I am a lead Sports Physician for the EIS, where I treat elite athletes from a wide range of sports, I am Chief Medical Officer for GB Boxing and GB Snowsports. I have accompanied teams to Olympic, Commonwealth Games, World and European Championships. I was the Chief Medical Officer for the England Commonwealth Games team in New Delhi 2010 and CMO in Glasgow 2014. I was CMO for the GB Winter Olympic Team in South Korea in 2018.
My research can be divided into three main themes:
1) Concussion
2) Respiratory illness
3) Behaviour change and sedentary behaviour.
