The University is among the best universities in the world according to the newly published QS World Rankings 2015-16.
The rankings, a global survey of universities, recognise Kent’s enduring commitment to internationalisation, and rate it among the top 100 universities in the world for its high percentage of international students and staff.
The QS league table comes on the back of the recent announcement that Kent has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education’s (THE) University of the Year award. Other successes include:
- achieving a top 20 national league table position
- being one of the best nationally in the National Students Survey (NSS) for overall satisfaction
- being ranked among the top 20% of UK Higher Education Institutions for research power
- receiving one of the largest percentage increases in research funding of any university in the country
- being shortlisted for the THE’s OutstandingSupport for Students award
Kent’s enhanced international standing and profile was also recognised in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2015 which saw the University placed among the world’s elite institutions in 8 of the 36 featured subjects.
The QS World Rankings 2015-16 place Kent at 360 among the world’s top 800 universities.
