We're ambitious for our people, our communities and the region we serve - join us in making the world a better place.
We stand for ambition, with our diverse community of staff and students committed to making a difference at regional, national and global level. It’s something we’re very proud of.
As part of the next phase of our Kent 2025 strategy, we continue to build on these three strategic pillars:
Our work is driven by our deep and abiding values, our pride in our past and the people and communities we serve.
Our students are at the heart of what we do - read more on everything they bring to Kent
We are committed to research that addresses regional, national and international challenges.
We act as a beacon for how creativity can question, astonish and transform.
Our Institutes play a major role in engagement with external partners and business.
Our six academic divisions have great freedom in how they work, enabling them to make decisions that best meet the needs of their students
Our ambition: to prepare you to think critically, work creatively and succeed in a changing world
We strive to engage critically with social justice practices at home and around the world
We aim to transform our society through our innovative and interdisciplinary research
We offer a broad portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at our Canterbury campus
We offer an engaging teaching experience underpinned by world-class research
Bringing our three academic schools together has strengthened our research base
Our staff and students make a significant contribution within our local communities through volunteering, research and public service, while our international links enhance their experience through contact with different countries, cultures and experiences
We make a significant impact within our local communities through public service and engagement
Our research community goes above and beyond for regional/national/international priorities
Our strong impact is based on partnerships with leading universities in Europe and around the world
Our regional partnerships demonstrate our central role in our county – for example, Growing Kent and Medway supports the region’s economic development, Creative Estuary helps drive the delivery of arts and culture across the region, inspiring creativity and firing imaginations, Kent and Medway Medical School directly serves our NHS and the health of the region and Eastern Arc supports collaboration across research and innovation.
We work closely with Universities at Medway, a unique partnership that brings together the University of Greenwich, the University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church.
We are proud to be a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England through our Gulbenkian arts centre which has partnerships with a wide range of arts and culture organisations across the world.
